Edit: Only about a week left to get your pieces in for this month's Theme of the Month prompt!
Hello there, lovely group members! With the start of a new year comes a new prompt, of which hopefully receives more participants than December's (but then again, I don't blame you- collaboration takes patience, and some people just aren't comfortable with sharing their hard work.)
Without further ado, here's our new prompt!
Define a word (of your choice) through an artwork
Write a story/description of the word's meaning, try to capture it in photos, paint a scene inspired by the word- whatever you want!
For example:
I chose the word "apple." Maybe I'll write a short description of apples, or maybe an alternate version of Adam and Eve. Maybe I'll go out hunting for an apple to snap a picture of, maybe I'll draw a scene of a girl holding an apple.
The word clearly has to relate to the artwork. Please leave an explanation how the word is related if it isn't already evident in your piece.
Here's a random word generator if you need help: watchout4snakes.com/creativity…
Here's a listing of the prettiest words: sesquipedaedalus.blogspot.com/…
Recommended: Here's a list of made-up words for feelings that don't, but should: www.dictionaryofobscuresorrows…
Rules:
-You may use any type of word. Adjective, noun, verb, pronoun, etc.
-All types of art allowed.
-You can enter a maximum of three times.
-Submit your works to the Theme of the Month folder
-No old works.
-The word must be related to the submitted artwork. If you don't explain the connection upon admin questioning, then it will be removed from the Theme of the Month folder.
-Deadline: February 1st
Good luck, everyone!

August's Theme of the Month
Hello there, you lovely members who have stuck around during our hiatus! We have a new Theme of the Month challenge for you with some points and critiques up as prizes.
This Theme will be a tiny bit different than the others...because of the vast diversity of artwork styles and mediums in Deviantart which we celebrate here in APictureToA1000Words, I'll be generating a different theme for each one of you with a word generator. The theme will be composed of two words that you can represent with any art medium you wish.
An example Theme:
1. Trousseau--Definition: The collective lighter equipments or outfit of a bride including clothes, jewelr

A Half Challenge
Hello everyone. I hope you have enjoyed your vacation. APictureToA1000Words (https://www.deviantart.com/apicturetoa1000words) has and we are definitely ready to hit the ground running and get the group active again.
With that being said, we would like to bring back our Theme Challenge. With prizes and lovely rewards for those who participate.

It's Been A Long Road...
Hello everyone!
First off I would like to say thank you for sticking around while the group was closed. I would like to next say that until EvelynTaliette (https://www.deviantart.com/evelyntaliette) is feeling better, I'm going to be running the group. I'm running several groups as well and so that means I'm going to be stretching my time to work and bring the group back up to speed!
The galleries are open again and you are welcome to start submitting your work! Please do! I want this group to go back being a very successful group!
EvelynTaliette (https://www.deviantart.com/evelyntaliette) is not feeling well so I ask everyone to go over and offer her some words of encouragement. And to help ease her burden
